ORBITAL RELAY
During orbital insertion, this relay was responsible for maintaining continuous communication between the capsule and ground control.
The hardware is intact. The antenna is functional. Power is present. Yet no signal is reaching Earth.
INCIDENT LOG Telemetry confirms that multiple transmission routes were opened simultaneously during the burn.
Only one crosslink routes toward Ground Control. All others transmit into empty spectrum.A valid home-link never begins and ends on the same side of the relay.
ORBITAL WINDOW RULE “Ground lock occurs on even windows. Odd windows drift during burn correction.Even-window lock is not a transmission by itself. A stable link requires the carrier handshake to be enabled.”
RELAY ANCHOR RULE Home-link requires a crosslink. Do not loop ends. Anchor across channels. Not along them.
OPERATOR TASK Re-establish communication with Ground Control.
To do so, the operator must: Select valid transmission windows using the switch bank. Physically anchor the relay through the correct junction pair
Both conditions must be met.
FAILURE STATE If either condition is incorrect: • No response from Ground Control• Communication indicator remains inactive• The relay continues transmitting into silence
The system provides no warning. It assumes operational discipline.
Confirmation State
When the correct switch configuration is set and the correct relay path is bridged:
• Communication indicator LED activates• Signal stabilizes• Ground Control acknowledges receipt. A single clean transmission is sufficient.
